South Carolina's Devan Downey scored 25 points, including making four free throws in the final 12 seconds of overtime, to help South Carolina to an 82-78 win over Arkansas on Saturday night.
Downey's pair of free throws with 12 seconds left gave the Gamecocks a 78-74 lead, the first time either team had been up by more than 3 in the extra period.
The game was close for the entire game, neither team had a lead larger then three points for the first or second half.
The Gamecocks are in a three-way tie for first place in the SEC East.
