The USC Gameocks had two victories on Saturday; one in their 79-68 win over the SEC's worst team, the other came in a sellout crowd.
The school announced that the "Operation Sellout" was a success on Saturday, as the Colonial Life Arena was sold out for a basketball game for the first time ever.
USC coach Darrin Horn was very appreciative that the arena was packed for of all games, one in which his Gamecocks played a Georgia team that was previously 0-7 in conference play.
"Our team would like to thank the Gamecock fans for coming out and supporting our team and making `Operation Sellout' a success on Saturday against Georgia," Horn said. "We want to create a homecourt advantage here at Colonial Life Arena and sellout crowds are a big part of that. Our entire team is very appreciative to the Gamecock Nation."
On the court, the Gamecocks were led by Sam Muldrow, who scored a career-high 18 points, adding 7 rebounds. Five South Carolina players finished the game in double figures, as Mike Holmes and Zam Fredrick each scored 13 points, while Dominique Archie added 12 points and Devan Downey scored 10.
The Gamecocks are off until Saturday, when they head to Alabama to face the struggling Crimson Tide. They don't return home until Feb. 21, when the Gamecocks host the Arkansas Razorbacks.
