The USC Gamecocks rallied to score 10 points in the fourth quarter to upset the Kentucky Wildcats  Saturday giving USC its fourth straight win.

Reshirt freshman quarterback Steven Garcia came into the game late in the third quarter after starter Chris Smelley struggled with his passing game, throwing two interceptions.

Garcia threw for 169 yards and a touchdown to put the Gamecocks ahead 24-17. Usually solid kicker Ryan Succop missed four of five field goal attempts ranging from 39 to 51 yards.

Succop could not practice all week because of an abdominal strain.

Next up for the Gamecocks is the LSU Tigers. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. on Saturday at Williams Brice Stadium in Columbia.
