South Carolina defeated USC Upstate 14-4 last night on three Justin Smoak home runs. homers. Smoke also totaled nine RBIs. He became the 12th player in school history to have three home runs in one game and it's the third time a Gamecock player has done it this season.
USC pitcher Sam Dyson got the decision to improve to 4-0 on the year.
Reese Havens went 3-for-3 and James Darnell hit his 13th home run of the season.
The win improves Carolina to 26-10 on the year, and drops USC Upstate to 18-20.
South Carolina will head to Clemson to continue their rivalry Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
