Investigators Decide on Scope of SC Trooper Investigation
Investigators will be looking into possible civil rights violations

State and federal investigators will meet this week to decide on the direction of their investigations of the South Carolina Public Safety Department, according to acting U.S. attorney for South Carolina, Kevin McDonald.
McDonald would not comment on the specifics of dashcam videotapes which show alleged abuses by officers during traffic stops. He did tell the State Newspaper in Columbia that some of the videos are "troubling."
Investigators will be reviewing any possible civil rights violations, and will decide whether or not to pursue criminal charges.
