The South Carolina baseball team rebounded from losing all three games of a weekend series to Georgia with a 9-6 win over Western Carolina on Tuesday night.

The Gamecocks struck first with two runs in the bottom of the second, but the Catamounts took the lead in the third inning, but Carolina regained the advantage in the bottom of the frame, thanks to DeAngelo Mack's 3-RBI triple down the right field line.

USC held on the rest of the way, and added two insurance runs when Kyle Enders and Mack knocked back-to-back homers in the eighth.

Carolina will square off against archrival Clemson tonight in the third of the teams' four-game season series. USC swept the opening two rounds, and can clinch the series win with a victory tonight at Sarge Frye Field.

First pitch between the Gamecocks and Tigers will be at 7 p.m.
