Finally...a decision on a parking garage in Five Points.
After much debate, Columbia City Council has okay'ed plans to build a six story parking garage on the former sit of Kenny's Auto.
While this may be great for those looking for a parking space, local business owners are not happy. Most were hoping that a two story parking garage would be built behind Claussen's Inn
"We just survived 7 months of Santee Avenue being closed. We almost went out of business then and we're very concerned about what's going to happen during the next round of construction, says Patricia Mason of the Five Points Bookstore.
The project will cost about six million dollars and will also include condos and retail space.
