Dog owners in the Midlands can go to work all day or leave for vacation without worrying about their pet. Columbia's Camp Bow Wow has a staff of supervisors to make sure dogs get to play, sleep, and even get treats throughout the day from the comfort of their very own dog cabin.
"We provide cots for them to sleep on. We have run cards which we put all their information down. You can bring their own food. We also provide food for the campers. We have crazy request, everything from dogs need to be fed separately to medication requirements," said camp owner Frank Ellington.
Ellington knows that it's hard for pet owners to walk away from their furry friends, so the camp also has a website where owners can watch their dog online.
"We make sure everyone is safe. We feed them. We just supervise them everyday to make sure everybody's safe or will give them time out or what ever we need to do," says camp counselor Robin Byrum.
