South Carolina will be getting another German auto parts manufacturer soon.
With carmaker BMW already entrenched in Greenville, auto parts and tire manufacturer Continental AG is moving its Continental Tire North America headquarters to Lancaster County.
Continental, the fifth-largest auto supplier in the world, is moving its corporate headquarters from Charlotte.
Continental officials say they plan to make the move within the next year, and that more than 300 people will work at their office. The company says it plans to keep its tire manufacturing plant in Charlotte for now.
