A day-after-Halloween sale "is like Christmas for the goth," Angel Lee said excitedly as she sifted through the spooky low deals at Spirit Halloween.
Both Spirit Halloween retail locations, one on Decker Boulevard and the other on Forest Drive, are offering 50 percent off of all costumes and decorations. One of the most popular costumes of the year, Harley Quinn from "Suicide Squad," is only $15. This is the last chance for customers to shop, because the pop-up stores will close on Nov. 2.
"I always come out on November 1. It's a good time to take advantage of the low prices," said Will Dowd, a customer with an armful of costumes ranging from Deadpool to Beast from "Beauty and the Beast."
And he's not the only one. Frank Jacobs, the district manager of the Spirit Halloween on Decker Boulevard, said that they expect an influx of shoppers on their last day.
Even a Spirit Halloween employee, Ash Vapor, came on her day off to stock up for the year. She understands that most people will just come out for next year's costume. She loves Halloween because she says it's the one day a year where you can be whatever you want to be.
"I feel like everyone can express themselves [on Halloween]. A lot of people have a hard time doing that. I like to do this all the time, but for other people, they really get to explore themselves," Vapor said.
