Aspirations: Host a radio-show that is also broadcasted on TV
Over the past year J.P. has written several feature stories on student-athletes, run team social media accounts for multiple sports through his job with athletic department, and volunteered at the 2017 SEC Media Days in Hoover, Alabama.
J.P. became interested in sports journalism at a very young age and could be found in front of the TV or radio watching or listening to Mike & Mike in the morning. J.P. co-hosted a podcast through StudentUnionSports.com during his sophomore year of college and has also interned with the Hawk and Tom show on 93.7 in Greenville, South Carolina.
J.P. also has a passion for working with kids and hopes to have a second career as a journalism teacher. Since 7th grade J.P. has worked with Special Olympics and with kids of all ages with all different disabilities. Those experiences are what he explains shaped him the most. He also has been a swim coach, YoungLife Leader, and spent part of this summer as a camp counselor at Camp Ozark in Mt. Ida, Arkansas.
