Kenneil Mitchell fell in love with journalism at his undergraduate program at Lander University. There, he learned to edit various packages on deadline. As a graduate student at the University of South Carolina, Kenneil enjoys producing and anchoring as it allows him to craft the shows and work hands-on with the crew to make the show successful. His dream is to one day become a trusted anchor or reputable producer for national news stations.
Kenneil Mitchell has studied the art of storytelling through various mediums: books, video games and films. Growing up in Columbia, South Carolina, Kenneil always found the time to use his imagination to tell stories to entertain himself, friends and family members.
In his spare time, Kenneil enjoys traveling all over the world. He went to Spain to walk the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Kenneil also traveled to Germany to produce a multimedia news story on the culture of German street art. The experience taught him to be more flexible in an unknown environment and to be more versatile with his storytelling to aim for a broader audience.
Kenneil grew up as the youngest in the family of two brothers and seven sisters. He believes that it was this large family environment that influenced him to stand out in life. It was this motivation that made him delve into telling stories for the community.
