Columbia's '9 Round' kickboxing gym has designed a workout that is quick, fun, and efficient. It is designed for people who are sick of their boring gym routines or feel like they don't have enough time in the day to workout.
The 30 minute full-body workout cycles through nine three-minute rounds of kickboxing. Each round focuses on working out a different part of your body. Some rounds are cardio and core based, while others are kickboxing based.
The best part is, there are no start times. Member Divyn Reddy says '9 Round' is the perfect workout for her busy schedule.
"I come in, get a quick workout, and I end up sweating in 30 minutes easily," Reddy said.
First timer Jessica Bell said she heard about kickboxing and was bored of the gym.
"I heard about kickboxing. I know it's kind of a new thing in fitness I've been hearing about buzzing. So, I thought I would spice up my workout," Bell said.
The '9 Round' on Forest Drive in Columbia has been open for a year and already has 250 members.
"We pretty much got flooded with members in January," owner David Rispress said. "Everyone is pushing for spring break."
For people who want to try out this intense workout, the first time is free.
