A new artistic phenomenon has arrived in Columbia. Studio Cellar in the Vista has introduced a program where the customers can paint and drink.
The "wine and design" idea started in New Orleans. Two women wanted to help neighbors relieve the stress of coping with Hurricane Katrina's aftermath.
Alex Danka is the general manager of Studio Cellar. He says people enjoy the experience once they know it is available.
"It is a place where creativity can be expressed in a new fun way," said Danka.
Amy Smith visited Studio Cellar with a group of her friends.
"What's more fun than painting and sipping wine? It may even turn out better," said Amy Smith.
No painting skills are necessary to participate, and customers can take the masterpieces they create home with them afterward.
