Journalism aspiration: Reporting, anchoring
Karamie is from the small town of Pomaria. Her continued passion for news is what prompted her to pursue journalism at USC. She recently had the privilege of interning with Hometown Columbia’s Coladaily.com and 94.3 The Dude. She was able to follow reporters, write her own articles, and write news headlines for the radio. This experience solidified her desire to report.
During the weekends, Karamie works at Chapin Baptist Church where she leads worship for the contemporary and youth services. In her free time, she loves painting and spoiling her Siamese cat, Ellie. She also shift leads and serves at a restaurant in downtown Columbia.
Karamie enjoys venturing out to find the hidden stories within our community. She wants to be able to shed light on every-day people's lives by telling their stories. She hopes to work in a news market within South Carolina, but is willing to go wherever the job takes her.
