Sometimes the relationship between the media and the public is less than trusting, and we at The Carolina Reporter understand that. Journalists can be viewed as snarky. But what if we turned the tables? What if we made it our goal to let people correct us? Because April Fools' Day is upon us, we reasoned that now would be as good a time as any to put the ball in the people's court to see whether they would call us on our bluff.
We sent Jared Owenby to the Upstate, where he was born and raised, to talk current events with residents of Greenville and Clemson. He brought up topics that were based on recent news but that were skewed slightly. Did they pick up on his malarkey? Watch to find out.
