This is David's sign and message that he holds with him every day on Greene Street.

He's a regular fixture on USC's campus and with his yellow Yaweh sign you can't miss him while on the way to class.
But you may not know the man behind the message that is being preached, some students call him "that guy on the corner," "Yahweh evangelist," or "the crazy old man who preaches about the bible on Greene Street."
David Hallman has been spreading his Christian message on USC's campus for the last 26 years.
"I really enjoy what I do because I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, I really do love the students," David said.
David spent his early years as a contractor but said he realized he something was missing in his life.
"That's when I had an encounter with the Heavenly Father because that's what I was missing. I was missing his spirit in my life telling me what I should be and what I shouldn't be," David said.
Now he spends seven hours, every Monday through Friday trying to get USC students to think about something more than just text books.
His message is simple- we are all created for a reason and if we don't find out what that reason is, we will miss the whole point of this life.
David believes if we don't find our purpose through God we will not live eternally.
On a good day up to eight students will actually stop and talk to him but David says even if it's just one student, he considers his day a success.
"I do love the students. I take on their heart like they are my own students. I don't just see them as something going by, I see them as your own children," says David.
Most students say they have never actually spoken to him, have walked by and taken a flyer but never actually listened to his message.
David says despite the difficulties in reaching USC students he will be back tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m.
