One TV station on USC's campus has been putting students in front of the camera since 2006.
"SGTV is a television station run entirely by students," says Chance Edwards, public affairs director for SGTV. "We produce the videos, we put them out, we promote them."
This week they are making a special effort, encouraging students to watch.
Monday kicked off SGTV week. The week is devoted to raising awareness for the Student Gamecock Television Network.
Edwards is helping put on the week's events with one goal in mind.
"We are just trying to get our name out there. Get people to start watching us so we can be a central news source for these kids, as well as entertainment," said Edwards.
Each day has a different themed event based around shows that run on Campus Channel 4.
Jenni Knight was in charge of Monday's event, which was based on her show Talk of the Town.
"We will have people out here asking them a question for Man on the Street, which is one of our segments," said Jenni.
The station hopes that by putting other students on television, more people on campus will tune in long after SGTV week is over.
