Maggie Winterfeldt hails from Boston, MA but fell in love with the southeast while studying political science at Vanderbilt University. After graduating cum laude she moved to New York to pursue a career in marketing and PR, but she quickly realized that her true passion was in reporting.
Maggie moved down to Charleston, South Carolina and began freelance writing for area magazines and newspapers. Anxious to extend her story telling abilities to include the broadcast medium, she enrolled in the University of South Carolina's Masters of Mass Communication program and began she working as a Promotions Assistant and Stage Manager at Fox 24/MyTV Charleston.
Now in her third semester, Maggie is focusing her studies exclusively on broadcast journalism. She hopes to work as a television reporter and anchor, and aspires to be an on-air reporter for a national network.
When not working, Maggie loves to spend time exploring the streets of historic Charleston where she lives with her fiance and 4-year-old cavapoo, Isabelle. She loves interior design, fashion, art history, presidential politics, and Red Sox baseball.
