Mike is in this business to take the beautiful stories of people's lives and share them with the rest of the community and the world. He hails from Flemington, New Jersey, but has thoroughly enjoyed life in the South for the past four years.
Mike is an avid music fan. He loves playing guitar and supporting the passionate, emotional side of life in the arts. It is that love for people and emotion that inspires him in the journalism field.
Mike has worked with USC Student Media's television station SGTV. He worked on the 30-minute weekly sports show called Capital City Sports and made his way to Executive Producer of the show in his third year. Mike interned with Offense-Defense Sports where he shot video of their youth football camps and started a weekly TV show for the company's ODTV. He shot high school football over a two year period for Columbia's WLTX, and spent last summer in New York City as an intern for CBS Sports.
Despite all the experience in sports, Mike enjoys reporting on politics and any unique story in the community. He looks forward diversifying his skills this semester and working hard - just like the wonderful people who make the stories on Carolina News possible.
