Ryan Velasquez is a Florence, S.C., native and aspiring journalist with a particular interest in covering sports. During his time at USC, Ryan has interned with the sports department at WLTX and served as Assistant Sports Editor at the Daily Gamecock. After graduation, he hopes to find a job covering the Gamecocks here in Columbia.
When he's not in the newsroom, Ryan enjoys staying active, whether it's playing a pick-up soccer game with friends or going for a run. He's also an avid sports fan, cheering on the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. Ryan's favorite meal is fried seafood.
