USC Senior Sarah Anne Clough and her mother Cindy both got the chance to experience the Gamecocks winning ten games in one football season as seniors.
Sarah says she is more than proud to be a Gamecock during this ten and two season because she has something to brag about for the rest of her life.
"I've been watching Carolina football games since I was and infant. And I'm a senior so it makes it bitter sweet… the last time in the student section but at least we did it big," she says.
The Gamecocks beat Clemson Saturday giving them their second 10-win season in school history.
Cindy Clough was a senior in 1984, the first time South Carolina won ten games in one season.
"The game I most remember is the Florida State game because that was the big team back then and when we beat them we thought this is going to be a great season. And I went to the Clemson-Carolina game in Clemson and we beat them by a point. So that was a very exciting game that capped of everything," Cindy says.
Cindy and her daughter agree that their senior year football experiences are far more similar than they'd ever imagined.
"After I reflect on it, you know to have your daughter at the same school and have the same athletic accomplishments take place, that is really cool, because she is such a big football fan," Cindy says.
Sarah says that maybe when she has a daughter and they go to Carolina for their senior year maybe the same thing will happen and the Gamecocks will celebrate another 10-win season.
