There is more than just fun and games at the South Carolina State Fair this year. A traveling 9/11 memorial has been set up for people to walk through and view artifacts from the disaster and memorials to those who died.
There is also a video of the tragic event, a wall with a list of the 2,975 names of those who died, and the song "taps" plays constantly in the background.
Some people move quickly through the tour while others take their time and reflect.
"Walking through here just reminds me of why I fight for our people," said U.S. Marine Tyler Sligh.
Columbia is the last stop of the traveling memorial. All of the exhibits are put into the 9/11 memorial museum in New York when the fair ends.
