The Gamecocks switched to these uniforms from the 2010 season.

The much anticipated Gamecock Wounded Warrior Project jerseys didn't make the field Saturday against Auburn. Those special jerseys were to be auctioned off after the game to raise money for the Wounded Warrior "Believe in Heroes" campaign.
Players did wear the black jerseys with camouflage numbers and trim during warmups but changed to regular black jerseys before the kickoff. The change left Gamecock fans wondering what happened.
Southeastern Conference officials looked at the jerseys during warmups and told coaches the numbers on the jerseys were too difficult to read. There was not enough contrast between the camouflage pattern on the numbers and the black jerseys.
The jerseys will still be auctioned off to raise money for the project.
Additional Wounded Warrior apparel can be found at local bookstores across the Midlands where a portion of the proceeds will support the Believe in Heroes campaign.
The three month campaign which began on September 11 will end on November 11, Veteran's Day.
