Gamecock star outfielder Jackie Bradley, Jr. was back on the field Thursday for the Gamecock baseball game with Tennessee after recovering from an injury. The star injured his back Monday while lifting weights and he sat out game against USC Upstate Tuesday.
Bradley was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a double as the Gamecocks shut down the Vols 4-0 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Coach Ray Tanner said even though Bradley was cleared to play medically, the player should make the final decision about whether he felt good enough to play.
Tanner said Monday was an optional day in the weight room. He didn't know on Tuesday Bradley had been hurt until Tuesday.
Tanner said he wasn't sure if Bradley would play Thursday the Gamecocks' second game against Tennessee.
