Customers lined up outside IHOP pancake restaurants across the country Tuesday to get free pancakes.
The chain offered free pancakes to customers in honor of National Pancake Day in exchange for a small donation to Children's Miracle Network.
Mark Schmitt, manager of the IHOP on Two Notch Road, said his restaurant was expecting a lot of customers.
"There will be people banging on the windows, trying to get in," Schmitt said. "That's why we have a security guard now."
Schmitt estimated that his IHOP was going to be serving up at least a thousand pancakes and around 20 gallons of syrup.
