Head Coach Steve Spurrier told fans that they would be seeing more of Marcus Lattimore this Saturday in the game against Troy. In the weekly press conference Spurrier said Troy has a good team, and a great offense, but they haven't played many top teams.
"Were going to give the ball to Marcus Lattimore and we're going to start running. We're not going to come out and throw three incomplete's and move on," said Spurrier.
Spurrier also talked about some of the star players in the game, including senior kicker Spencer Lanning, who will be honored, along with other seniors on Saturday at Senior Night in the game against Troy.
"I'm really proud of not only Marcus Lattimore, but Spencer Lanning. Making those three field goals; 49, 47, and 41, that's big time kicking in a big time atmosphere," said Coach Spurrier.
One surprising part during the press conference is when Spurrier although the win against Florida, making the Gamecocks SEC East Champions was big, he thought that beating Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida in one year was a bigger deal.
