Have you ever wondered why some State Fair Rides come back every year and other rides do not?
Managers at the State Fair closely watch to see which rides are popular, and which ones don't draw as many fair goers.
Each ride at the fair requires a certain number of tickets, and at the end of each day, the tickets are counted. This allows the fair managers to determine which rides are the most popular. Those totals tell them which rides will return next year.
"You can tell by the ticket count... it means (if it's) not as popular with our guests, we will replace it next year with another ride, " says Michael Hupalo, a fair manager.
