Suddeth Automotive is offering free vehicle inspections to kick off the national "Be Car Care Aware" campaign.
"I think we've been averaging about six a day right now, sometimes it's twenty a day. So, it can be hectic sometimes," said mechanic Paul Hunt.
Suddeth mechanics check fluids, lights, tire treads, and hoses for anything problems free of charge.
Hunt says many people are getting their cars repaired rather than buying a new one in these tough economic times. But in some cases, costly repairs can pose a big problem.
"In this recession we have a lot of people who have car care needs they're not able to meet, because you know you're talking about a large repair bill, it's really hard for them to come up with the money all at one time to make that one repair bill," said Suddeth employee Ashley Zander.
The free inspections are being offered through October with no service required.
