South Carolina's men's soccer team beat Wake Forest Tuesday 1-0. It is the second road victory for the gamecocks in the past week. They beat Charlotte on Saturday 1-0.
Freshman midfielder Bradlee Baladez scored his second game-winning tally during 2010.
The Gamecocks controlled the start of the match, but Wake Forest took control in the second half. South Carolina senior Jimmy Maurer had a great night. He had his fourth shut-out of the season and the twenty-third shut-out of his career.
South Carolina finally got inside the Demon Deacon six-yard box and got its one and only goal of the night.
South Carolina will play UAB on October 2 to kick off their Conference USA schedule.
