South Carolina Gamecocks defeated The Citadel Tuesday night 10-1 with a season-high, five home runs at the Carolina Stadium.

The Gamecocks pitching staff recorded double-digit strikeouts for the thirteenth time this season.

Senior Jeffrey Jones, Juniors Scott Wingo and Robert Beary, and Sophomores Jackie Bradley, Jr. and Michael Roth each hit a home run, tying a Carolina Stadium record for the most home runs in a single game.

Freshman right-hander Colby Holmes earned his first career victory for South Carolina. He allowed just one run on five hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

The Gamecocks next game will be a 3-game series at home against Ole Miss kicking off Friday at 7:00 p.m.
