Cayce police are searching for the driver involved in a February 21st hit and run that resulted in the death of a USC professor.

Cayce Department of Public Safety reports say they're looking for a 1998-2002 Toyota 4Runner. The vehicle should show signs of damage on the front end and possibly other areas say police.  Witnesses say the SUV was turning off of Knox Abbott Drive around 10:00 PM when it hit 34-year-old Toby Morris. Morris was on his motorcycle waiting for the stoplight.  The vehicle was last seen driving north towards West Columbia on 9th Street.

Morris, a USC adjunct photography professor, was hospitalized after the accident.  His friends he was about to be discharged from Lexington Medical Center on Sunday when he suddenly collapsed and died.

If you have any information, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
