The Gamecocks women's basketball team upset the 22nd ranked Vanderbilt Commodores 73-70 Sunday in the regular season finale for both teams.

Kelsey Bone scored 12 points giving the Gamecocks (14-14, 7-9 SEC) the lead for good with 1:07 left to play.   Valerie Nainima led the Gamecocks with 23 points. Ieasia Walker had 18 points and hit 3 out of 4 free throws in the game's closing minutes to seal the win.

The Lady Gamecocks head to the SEC Tournament Thursday for a first-round game.  Their record won't get them into the NCAA tournament so they'll have to win the conference tourney to get in.

Gamecock men's basketball team lost its' fifth consecutive game Saturday to the Mississippi State Bulldogs 76-73.

Devan Downey ended the game with 12 points, his lowest output in SEC play and his second lowest output this season.

The Gamecocks trailed by seven points at the half and couldn't get any closer.

The USC (14-14,5-9 SEC) team host Alabama at home Wednesday in their last regular season game.
