La'Keisha Sutton scored 19 points against Tennessee

The University of South Carolina women's basketball team gave No. 5 ranked Tennessee a scare last night at the Colonial Life Arena before falling 60-55 to the Lady Vols.
The Gamecocks started strong with a 13-0 lead, but the Volunteers fought back to take a 25-13 lead over the final 16:12 of the first half. The Gamecocks only trailed by one point at halftime 26-25.
The Volunteers trailed the Gamecocks by 2 points with 1:57 left in the game when Kelly Cain scored consecutive layups for Tennessee. La'Keisha Sutton missed two free throws with 1:20 left in the game that could have tied the game. In the end the Gamecocks couldn't catch up.
Sutton led South Carolina with 19 points. Valerie Nainima scored 16 points, while Kelsey Bone added 11 points and six rebounds.
