The Gamecocks are hoping to upset the Gators on Saturday.

Who could forget last year's 56-6 final score as the Gators beat the Gamecocks at "The Swamp?" This year, the Gamecocks are looking for some revenge.
The unranked Gamecocks are hoping to upset the No. 1 Gators Saturday afternoon in their SEC match up at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.
Statistically speaking, it's probably not going to happen.
- The Gators enter the game with a perfect, 9-0 record, and they are last year's National Champions.
- The Gators average 35 points per game, ranking them 11th in the country.
- The Gamecocks rank 101st in the country, only averaging 21.3 points per game.
- The Gators have won 17 of the 18 games against the Gamecocks.
- In the last two years, Florida has scored 107 points against South Carolina.
On the bright side, it could happen.
- The Gamecocks have a 5-0 record at home.
- It has been done before, in 2005. The lone Florida win came in Coach Steve Spurrier's first game against the school he coached from 1990-2001.
- Florida is not blowing out its opponents like it did last year. Mississippi State held on for almost the entire game and Florida barely beat Arkansas with a last-second field goal.
Saturday's game marks the first time the Gamecocks will host a No. 1 team at Williams-Brice Stadium. The game will be broadcast on CBS. Kick-off is at 3:30.
