South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier is questioning the use of a piece of white tape by Alabama's place kicker.

Coach Spurrier says the holder for the Crimson Tide would place a piece of tape when he got set to spot where the ball should be placed. He says he has never seen allowed during a game.

Alabama's head coach Nick Saban retaliated and saying that every kicker uses a marker including former Gamecock Kicker Ryan Succop.

The SEC rules say using any outside item to mark a kick is worth a five yard penalty.  The outcome of the Carolina-Alabama game will not be changed because the game already took place.  The SEC also said they have alerted the officials about this matter so they can keep a closer look to make sure the game is being played fairly.
