USC rallied in the ninth inning for a 7-6 victory over Clemson in Tuesday night's baseball game in Columbia.
DeAngelo Mack hit a two-run single for the game winning hit off Clemson reliever Casey Harman.
Carolina began the rally with a base hit by Adam Matthews and a walk to Casey Rihn.
Jackie Bradley Jr. moved the runners to second and third with a sacrifice bunt, and Whit Merrifield was intentionally walked to set up Mack for the win.
The game marks Carolina's sixth consecutive win over Clemson and their ninth victory over the Tigers in their last 10 games.
The two teams will meet again tonight in Clemson for game two of the series beginning at 7:00 pm.
