The Gamecock baseball team can't seem to find its swing againt conference opponents as they dropped two out of three to Arkansas over the weekend.

Arkansas' game one starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel limited the Gamecocks to three runs on seven hits.  Razorbacks Scott Lyons and Zack Cox each homered as the Arkansas defeated South Carolina 6-4 at Carolina Stadium.

South Carolina starting pitcher Nolan Belcher threw a career-high 8.1 innings in game two, and held Arkansas to just one run on four hits as the Gamecocks bounced back for a 9-1 win. Nick Ebert added two home runs and freshman Adam Matthews hit the first Gamecock inside the park home run in eight years.

In game three, South Carolina raced out to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning. Arkansas scored seven unanswered runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings to defeat the Gamecocks 7-4 on Sunday afternoon.

The Razorbacks improve to 22-6 and 10-2 in the SEC while the loss drops Carolina to 20-10 and 5-7 in the conference. South Carolina returns to action on Tuesday night hosting Clemson with first pitch at 7 p.m.
